Almost there!

Silly me let myself get distracted by Facebook and the Olympics (congrats to all the U.S. medal winners!)...again. Didn't get to editing my short story until very late, which means another short night of sleep. However, I did get the story down to just over 10,300 words---planning to get the final cut done tonight so I can focus on finishing "From the Shadows" during Camp WriMo.

Inspiration Overflow

Cutting will be required if I want to submit "The Beauty in The Black Room"---the erotic short story I've been writing---to Hot Ink Press for consideration for the Halloween anthology. Knowing I was going to go over the 10k work count regardless, I decided to keep writing and see how many words I got. I ended up with 10,905. So after work today (yep, crazy me stayed up way past my bed time to finish!), if I'm not too tired, I will have to read through it from the beginning and see what I can trim out.
